Setting Parameters from the CRT/MDI
Confirm that the operational mode of the Power Mate H is set to Manual Data Input (MDI) or that
the Power Mate H is in the EMERGENCY STOP condition. In MDI mode, the letters MDI will
be displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. MDI is the default mode for the Power Mate H.
In EMERGENCY STOP condition, the letters ESP will be reverse-highlighted. To change
modes, use the Mode Selection switch that you connected during the assembly process (see Figure
3-13). This Mode Selection switch is interfaced via the PMC ladder program or the standard
ladder.
To enter parameter information from the CRT/MDI, you must first enable the parameters to be
changed. This enable is called the Parameter Write Enable (PWE). When set to 1, you may
change parameters. When set to 0, you cannot change the parameters.
