The external modem is connected with the reader puncher interface of CNC.
PC and CNC can be connected via Reader/Puncher interface.
The cable for the connection must be the one for modem connection
(so-called “Straight cable”).
Additionally, please follow the manual of the modem.
(Note)+24 and +5V are output to the RS-232C serial port of CNC.
Moreover, +24V is output to the 25pin of the reader puncher interface relay
connector. The modem does not need these power supplies usually.
Please do not connect the modem with the power supply pin. Or, please confirm be
safe to the modem even if the power supply pin is connected with the modem.
In the worst case, the modem might be destroyed when carelessly connecting.
A set operation of the CNC parameter is necessary for the connection.
