2.5 Tool post interference check
2.5.1 General
Tool post interference check can decelerate and stop the two tool posts before the tool posts interfere
with each other by an incorrect command. And alarms and DO signals are output.
Tool post interference check is available for the interference between two tool posts. A tool post is
expressed by max. Three rectangular parallelepiped. Three relations between three tool posts can be
checked in same time. The interference between which tool posts can be selected by PMC.
This function checks the interference before movement. Axes stop before setting value. Therefore, it is
not necessary to set an exceeded value in case of alarm as a margin value.

2.5.2 Setting of tool post data
(1) Setting of the interference relation
Interference check between tool post 1 and 2 is called interference check #1. And between tool post
1 and 3 is interference check #2, between tool post 2 and 3 is interference check #3. Setting is done
for these three interference check pattern.
Set axis composition of tool post for interference check. Axes making one tool post are
set as opposite axis(width axis) and a parallel axis(length axis) and a parallel axis 2 (height axis).
In a parallel axis direction the interference is checked in both + direction and - direction. But in an
opposite axis direction the interference is checked in one direction. So a careful consideration must
be taken in the decision of axes.
Set whether the relation of the corresponding axes of two tool posts is same direction or different.
