2.9. Measurement Alarm Signals
In case of the application is unable to handle a situation an alarm will be generated. The application has
eight different alarms, which are explained below more in detail.

[Data type] Bit [WPTS] Alarm: Wrong Probe Touch Signal.
[Data type] Bit [WANR] Alarm: Wrong Alarm Number Request.
[Data type] Bit [WFNR] Alarm: Wrong Function Number Request
[Data type] Bit [NAPM] Alarm: Not All Tool Posts are Measured.
0: The related Alarm is inactive.
1: The related Alarm is active.
2.9.1. Alarm: Tool Post Selection “TPSA“
The application is setting this alarm in two cases:
(1) In case of a Tool Post Measurement request (the rising edge of the signal “TPMP”).
- The quantity of Tool Posts (QP0...QP5) is greater than the supported quantity.
- The actual Tool Post Number (TP0...TP5) is zero or greater than the quantity of
Tool Posts (QP0...QP5)
(2) In case of a Tool Measurement request (“TPMP=0” and selected Geometry Offset Screen)
- The actual Tool Post Number (TP0...TP5) is zero or greater than the quantity of
Tool Posts (QP0...QP5)
The Alarm Message Screen will be displayed automatically in case of the status AMDS=1.
2.9.2. Alarm: Wrong Axis Number Selected “WANS”
The application is setting this alarm if the actual axis number is “out of range”. This information is coming
from the CNC system software and should be never happened.
The Alarm Message Screen will be displayed automatically in case of the status AMDS=1.
2.9.3. Alarm: Wrong Tool Post Number “WTPN”
The application is setting this alarm if the actual tool post number (TP0…TP4) is “out of range”.
The PMC program provides this information.
The Alarm Message Screen will be displayed automatically in case of the status AMDS=1.
