Function overview
The functions of the PROFIBUS configuration tool are outlined
below.
The PROFIBUS configuration tool is an application that performs the
operations described below on the personal computer.
• Creation and editing of communication parameters for the
PROFIBUS-DP master function
Parameters for the CNC (PROFIBUS-DP master station) to
perform PROFIBUS-DP communication can be created and
edited.
To create communication parameters, a GSD file supplied from
each PROFIBUS-DP slave station is needed.
• Downloading of data files to the CNC
Data files can be downloaded via Ethernet to the CNC.
