Screens related to the setting procedure
The screens related to the general setting procedure are described
below.
For details of "Related screen" indicated in the table below, see the
relevant subsections in this section.

An I/O module is set for each slave station.

The following settings are made as
required.
Bus parameter setting
The PROFIBUS parameters (such
as a transfer rate) of the entire
network are set.

The default transfer rate is 12
Mbps.
Detail slave parameter setting
The PROFIBUS-DP parameters
(such as a watchdog time) of each
slave station are set.

Setting of extended user

These parameters are not
related to PROFIBUS-DP
communication but are
specific to a slave device.

Grouped slot setting
This setting is made when PMC
address allocation to DI/DO data
within one slave station is to be
specified in detail.
- Change Grouped Slots
screen
The default number of
grouped slots is 1.
When the PROFIBUS
software series is 6557/09 or
later or 655G, the number of
grouped slots cannot be
changed.

PMC address allocation
PMC addresses are allocated to each data
item (DI/DO data, diagnostic data, and
operation mode).

PMC address allocation to
diagnostic data and operation
mode is not mandatory.
