3.2.5. BIOS-update Process
Step 1. Turn off the Intelligent Terminal.
Step 2. Connect a Full Keyboard to the Intelligent Terminal.
Step 3. In the case that a Floppy Disk Drive is connected already, go to Step 7.
Step 4. Connect the Floppy Disk Drive.
Step 5. Turn on the Intelligent Terminal.
Step 6. Intelligent Terminal displays a BIOS's error message. Exit a BIOS's setting screen according to
the following order. Intelligent Terminal will restart after them. If the BIOS setting, "Auto
Configuration" is "Enable", passes the following four process, (6a)-(6d).
(6a) On "POST Startup Error" screen, select [continue] and push [Enter].
↓
(6b) On "Configuration Error" screen, select [continue] and push [Enter].
↓
(6c) On "Configuration/Setup Utility" screen, select [Exit Setup] and push [Enter].
↓
(6d) On "Exit Setup" screen, select [Yes, save and exit the Setup Utility] and push [Enter].
During restarting, when the following screen is displayed, push the [Shift] key of the full keyboard.
And continue to push it until the end of Step 8. Go to Step 8.

Step 7. Turn on the Intelligent Terminal. During starting up, when the above screen is displayed,
push the [Shift] key of the full keyboard. And continue to push it until the end of Step 8.
Step 8. The initial screen is cleared. The message "Starting MS-DOS..." is displayed. And after that,
the command line prompt "C:\>" is displayed.
Step 9. Release the [Shift] key, and insert this disk to the floppy disk drive. Input the command
"a:biosup", and push the [Enter] key.
Step 10. Check BIOS Version. If need not to update BIOS, end and go to Step 18.
Step 11. Display the following message to start updating BIOS, press [Space] key or [Enter] key once.
Execute bios-update program.
Press any key to continue . . .
Go on the next page.
