6.1 MANUAL REFERENCE POSITION RETURN
Positioning to a reference position can be performed by manual
operation. The grid method of manual reference position return is
supported:
The tool starts moving at the rapid traverse rate when jog feed mode
(JOG), the manual reference position return signal (ZRN), and the
manual reference position axis selection signal (±Jn) are turned on.
With the grid method, the tool is decelerated when the limit switch for
deceleration on the machine is closed. Then, the tool stops at the first
grid point when the limit switch for deceleration opens again. Upon the
completion of reference position return, the reference position return
completion signal is issued.
A machine coordinate system and workpiece coordinate system are
established by performing manual reference position return.
The grid method allows a reference position to be shifted with the grid
shift function.
