5. 3. 2 Movements in Contour Side
Movements are basically similar in all side cutting
menus, but in case of 'Contour Side' menu a little bit
different.
5. 3. 2. 1 Movements rough cutting
1. Rapid in XY to start point ( A )
2. Rapid in Z to point R :
(end Z + bottom removal + clearance).
3. Descent along the lower Z position with Z feed by
the defined Z cut step.
4. Move into the workpiece with feed, following the
approach type Circle, Tangent, Vertical.
5. Side cutting along the side figure with the
side cut step (tool diameter x cutting width).
6. Move away from workpiece with feed, following
the escape type Circle, Tangent, Vertical.
7. Feed back in Z to point R.
8. Rapid in XY to start point ( A ).
9. 3. - 8. Are repeated to the point of distance until
Side Finish amount.
10. 3. - 9. are repeated up to the point of the distance
until Bottom Finish.
11. Feed back in Z up to the point R.
5. 3. 2. 2 Movements in Bottom finishing
1. Rapid in XY to start point ( A )
2. Rapid in Z to point R :
(end Z + bottom removal + clearance).
3. Descent along the lower Z position with Z feed by
the defined Z end position.
4. Move into the workpiece with feed, following the
approach type Circle, Tangent, Vertical.
5. Side cutting along the side figure with the
side cut step (tool diameter x cutting width).
6. Move away from workpiece with feed, following
the escape type Circle, Tangent, Vertical.
7. Feed back in Z to point R.
8. Rapid in XY to start point ( A ).
9. 3. - 8. Are repeated to the point of distance until
Side Finish end position.
10. Feed back in Z up to the point R.

Important note
In Contour Side menu, cutter compensation G41 and G42
are used. In this case the work piece dimension can be
influenced by modifying cutter radius offset value.
