4 Cycles
4.1 Basics
Geometry data of 40 cycles can be saved to CNC
in memory positions from 1 to 40. Memory
position 0 is always empty, this means no cycle
can be saved to position 0.
4.1.1 Selecting a Memory Position
Memory positions are selected by pressing on
arrow touch areas in memory position
selection area or by pressing on directly.
When selecting a memory position from 1 to 40,
cycle and corresponding geometry data are
displayed on main screen. As soon as cycle data
are displayed on main screen machining
operation can be started (cycle is active).
4.1.2 Editing a Cycle Data
To edit a machining cycle, select on main screen
a memory position between 1 and 40 (cycle to be
edited) and press EDIT icon to edit geometry
data.
4.1.3 Insert a New Cycle
To insert a new machining cycle, select on main
screen a memory position between 1 and 40 and
press NEW icon to open cycle selection screen.
4.1.4 Electronic Stops
Some of the cycles automatically activate
electronic stops when cycle is selected (cycle data
displayed on main screen). These cycles are
called STOP CYCLES all other cycles like taper,
threading, grooving and memory position 0, have
no axis limits.
Electronic stop function is used to stop X and Z
axis at defined limit positions the tool should not
exceed. Even if hand wheels are continued to be
rotated axis are stopped at limit positions. The
protected area is the area obtained by intersecting
X and Z stop lines. Inner chamfer and radiuses
are not protected.
