3 Preparatory Operations
Following preparatory operations must always be
done before starting machining.
- Work Coordinate Setting
- Cutting Feedrate Setting
- Spindle Speed Setting (Only on machines
having a frequency converter spindle)
After completing above described steps, machine
is ready for starting to cut in traditional way, by
moving axis by means hand wheel or by using
joystick for continuos feed.
In order to increase productivity, or in order to
take of workload from machine operator, semi
automatic or automatic cycles (described in next
chapters) can be used.
When spindle is running joystick moves axes in
cutting feed in mm/rev.
When spindle is stopped joystick moves axes in
normal jog feedrate.
