3.1 Work Coordinate Setting
Description of Coordinate System
Before starting any kind of machining operation,
work coordinates (workpiece zero) must be set.
By pressing on X or Z touch areas, data fields
become active and data entry is possible.
Setting X coordinate
Insert the workpiece diameter in X data field.
Touch the outer workpiece surface with tool and
press touch area [X-OUTR].
Setting Z coordinate
Insert the Z coordinate of workpiece face (usually
=0). Touch the workpiece face surface with tool
and press touch area [Z-FACE].
When working without Tool Offsets (See Chapter
Tool Offsets) this operation needs to be
performed after each tool change or workpiece
type change.
If work coordinates are set incorrectly, the tool
may bump against the workpiece or machine.
Press on coordinate display of main screen to
open woorkcoordinate setting screen.
Work coordinate setting screen. Press to

Step 1: Insert X and Z data in data area
Step 2:Touch outer surface and press [X-OUTR]
Step 3: Touch face and press [X-FACE]
