Before attempting to use a conversational function to create a machining program, ensure that

all required data in the tool file, cutting condition file, and pre–tool list is set correctly.

If any of the required data is not set correctly, the cutting conditions will not be set correctly, possi-

bly resulting in damage to the tool, or even injury to the user or bystanders.

The initial value file, pre–tool list, tool file, and cutting condition file presented in the following ex-

amples differ from those used for actual machining. Actual data will vary from one machine mod-

el to another. Refer to the relevant manual(s), supplied by the machine tool builder, for details.

If the set data is incompatible with the characteristics of a specific machine, a machining program

created using the conversational function will not be able to operate as intended.

If a machining program fails to operate correctly, the tool may collide with the workpiece, or the

machine may be forced to perform machining that exceeds its physical capabilities, possibly

causing damage to the tool and/or machine, or even injury to the user or bystanders.
