7.12.2 Adjusting the Flow Sensor
7.12.2.1 For C1000-E
The operation point of the water flow sensor for the C1000-E depends
on the pressure at the cooling water inlet of the oscillator. So, note that
the alarm operation point may slightly shift if the length of piping
from the chiller is changed significantly for a cause such as the
movement of the oscillator.
The adjustment method described below assumes that the pressure at
the cooling water inlet of the oscillator is 0.36 to 0.50 MPa.
(1) Turn the CNC on. Never turn on the oscillator start signal (RUN)
at this stage. Therefore, drive the chiller unit in the manual
operation.
CAUTION
Remove the key of the switch not never to turn on
the start signal (RUN).
(2) Detach the water flow sensor cables (black and white) from the
terminal block, then connect a tester to the ends (Faston
terminals) of the cables. Set the tester for the resistance
measurement range or conductivity check range.

(3) Adjust the flow rate of cooling water flowing into the oscillator
to an alarm setting flow rate. Use a flowmeter with a proper and
accurate rated flow rate.
