The CNC cables that required shielding should be clamped by the method
shown below. This cable clamp treatment is for both cable support and
proper grounding of the shield. To insure stable CNC system operation,
follow this cable clamp method.
Partially peel out the sheath and expose the shield. Push and clamp by
the plate metal fittings for clamp at the part. Metal fittings for clamp are
attached to the control unit. The ground plate must be made by the
machine tool builder, and set as follows:

Use a cable of the appropriate length. A cable that is longer than necessary
is undesirable because immunity to noise is likely to degrade and the cable
may induce noise on another cable. If the excess length of cable is coiled,
increased inductance will result. Such an increased inductance may
induce a very high voltage when a signal is turned on or off, and could
cause a failure or noise–based malfunction.
