By pushing a [PREST] in an initial screen, the setup guidance
window for measuring workpiece coordinate shift amount appears.
WARNING
When measuring workpiece coordinate shift
amount on the X-/Z-axis using this method, keep
the spindle rotating, and push the tool against the
end surface or periphery of the workpiece and cut it
with a feedrate as low as possible, using such as
handwheel. Also, be sure to keep the safety door of
the machining station closed.
Refer to the applicable manual supplied by the
respective machine tool builders for detailed
operations. If you do not know how to use this
measurement function, do not use it.
Use of this measurement method without a working
knowledge of the operating procedure may bring
about the death of, or a serious injury to, the user.
Before starting the machine using the tool
compensation function, carefully determine the
direction of compensation and the compensation
value, and ensure that the tool will not strike the
workpiece or machine. Otherwise the tool or
machine may be damaged or the operator may
injured.
(1) Manual reference position return
First, manually return to the reference position. When reference
position return has been performed previously, this is unnecessary.
