Power Failure Backup Module
Descriptions
A-53866E-464
Path 2: Detects a DC link voltage drop due to a power failure.
A06B-6077-H002 (200V input type)
Power failure detection voltage: 220 VDC ±15V
A06B-6091-H002 (400V input type)
Power failure detection voltage: 400VDC ±20V
By connecting pin A3 (*SYNC) of connector CX16 to 24 V, you can disable the detection of a
power failure in the DC link voltage. (See (7) in Section 5.2 and Section 6.6.)
Path 3
: Detects an external power failure signal input to connector CX15.
When 24 V is input to pin 3 (EXPFL) of connector CX15, it is assumed that a power
failure is detected. If not using this path, leave EXPFL open.
The maximum current to flow to EXPFL is 10 mA.
(See (6) in Section 5.2 and Section 6.6.)
OTE
The power failure detector detects simultaneous drops in three phases as a power failure. If an
of the phases is missing, a power failure may not be detected correctly as such.
Any power failure that occurs at a location other than the line on which power failure detection
is performed (line connected to connector CX12 or CX26) cannot be detected (for example,
power failure that occurs due to a fault on the MCC connected to the PSM main circuit input o
due to the disconnection of the cable connected to the MCC).
If you wish to perform backup operation even in the event of a power failure that occurs at
location other than the line connected to connector CX12 or CX26, install a power failure
detector (for example, the S87A of OMRON) on the relevant line and manipulate the external
power failure signal of the power failure backup module (see the description of path 3, above),
using the power failure signal output from it.
