Power Failure Backup Module
Descriptions

4 Regenerative
resistor
overheat alarm
The regenerative
resistor inside sub
module R has
overheated.
Sub module R has entered the all-time ON state due
to an error in the regenerative circuit.
Replace the power failure backup module.
5 Thyristor drive
power supply
low voltage
alarm
The voltage of the
thyristor drive
power supply has
dropped.
An error occurred in the thyristor drive power
supply circuit in the power failure backup module.
Replace the power failure backup module.
6
(Note)
Step-down
converter low
voltage alarm
The voltage output
from the step-down
converter has
dropped.
An error occurred in the step-down converter
circuit in the power failure backup module.
Replace the power failure backup module.
Note: Alarm that may be generated by the A06B-6091-H002 (400V type) only
6.5 STATE SIGNALS
The state of the power failure backup module is output from connector CX16, with an open drain (24 V
common).

Description
*ALM B1 If an alarm is generated, the output transistor will be turned OFF.
If an alarm is generated, the power failure backup function will stop.
*PFL B2 If a power failure is detected, the output transistor will be turned OFF. In response
to this signal, perform appropriate actions such as the start of retraction and the
stop on the feed axis.
RDY B3 When the charging of sub module C is completed, so that power failure backup is
possible, the output transistor is turned ON.
Before moving to an operation mode that requires power failure backup, make sure
that this signal has been output.
