Handling of the emergency stop contact (CX4) of the PSM
The emergency stop contact (CX4) of the PSM must be maintained in the closed state until a stop on the
feed axis.
If, during feed axis deceleration, the emergency stop contact (CX4) of the PSM is opened, the system
may switch from the regeneration brake to the dynamic brake, possibly extending the stop distance.
For the
αi series amplifier, you can extend the period from the time the emergency stop contact (CX4)
of the PSM is opened until an emergency stop actually activated (the dynamic brake starts to operate),
by setting the parameters given below.

OTE
Set the above paramete
s for all the axes for which the stop distance reduction function at power
failure is to be used.
If you use a multiaxis amplifier (2- or 3-axis amplifier) for an axis to which the stop distance
reduction function at power failure is to be applied, set the brake control function to enable ("1")
for all the axes on the multiaxis amplifier.
