6.4 ALARMS
To protect the machine and itself in the event of an error, the power failure backup module provides the
error detection and protection functions given in the table below.
If an error occurs in the power failure backup module, you can no longer perform power failure backup
operation to protect the module itself. If an alarm is generated in the power failure backup module, the
signal *ALM of 0 is output; in response to this signal, immediately stop the machine. Also, be sure to shut
off the MCC as soon as you stop the machine.
Numbe
r
Name Description Cause and corrective measure
1 Insufficient
charge alarm
Sub module C is
not charged.
<1> Terminal blocks TB1 and TB2 are connected
erroneously.
L+ and L- of sub module C are reversely
connected.
L+ and L- of sub module C are
short-circuited.
<2> An error in the charge circuit of the power
failure backup module.
Replace the power failure backup module.
2 Low voltage
alarm
The voltage
dropped after
completion of the
charging of sub
module C.
An error in the charge circuit of the power failure
backup module.
Replace the power failure backup module.
3 Excess
regeneration
alarm
Abnormal current
flowed through the
regenerative
resistor.
<1> Excess regenerative power.
If you use one sub module R
A06B-6089-H712 and the total maximum
motor output is from 20 kW to 40 kW, the
capacity of sub module R is insufficient.
Install another A06B-6089-H712 or replace
the existing one with the A06B-6077-H020.
<2> An error in the regenerative circuit.
Replace the power failure backup module.
