6.2.5 Sequence in the Event of a Power Failure (Resistance Regeneration Control)
This sequence is common to the A06B-6077-H002 (200V type) and the A06B-6091-H002 (400V type).

(Note 2)

0V
AL-5 (DC link low voltage alarm) occurs in the SVM.
AL-3 (DC link fuse blown alarm) occurs in the SP
Note 1. Resistance regeneration operation is possible after a power failure is detected. In normal operation,
power regeneration operation is performed, and resistance regeneration operation is not.
Note 2-1. When a power failure is detected, the power failure detection signal *PFL of 0 is output. In
response to this signal, perform ladder processing that gives the feed axis a stop command (such as an
emergency stop signal or a feed hold signal). If the stop command is given as a feed hold signal and
the acceleration/deceleration time constant is large, the sufficient energy for the control after a power
failure (regenerative energy due to deceleration) may not be generated, possibly extending the stop
distance.
Note 2-2. If you need to stop the spindle, supply an emergency stop signal (spindle control signal ESPA,
ESPB, ESPC, or ESPD). See Subsection 7.2.2 for details.
Note 2-3. You must set parameters for reducing the stop distance. See Subsection 7.2.1 for details.
Note 3. After feed axis and spindle stoppages, reduction in the DC link voltage causes AL-5 (DC link low
voltage alarm) in the SVM and AL-3 (DC link fuse blown alarm) in the SPM.
