• Tool length
The length of a machine peculiar part from the tool pivot that is the center point
of the tool rotary axis to the tool installation position is called the tool holder
offset. The tool holder offset amount is set to the parameter No. 19666. It is
individual from the tool length offset amount. When tool center point control is
applied, the sum of the tool holder offset and tool length offset is handled as a
tool length for compensation calculation. In the tool center point control, the sum
of the tool holder offset and tool length offset is performed as the compensation
calculation.
• Tool offset amount
In the tool center point control function, the value set in “Z” of the tool offset
memory as well as the case of the tool length compensation is used as an offset
amount.
The tool offset number must be specified by H code in AI HPCC / AI NANO HPCC
mode.
The tool length offset amount that is used in the AI HPCC / AI NANO HPCC
mode is displayed as reverse on the screen. Please refer to clause 2.12.2 for screen
display.
