1.1 Outline
This function is designed to achieve high-speed, high-precision milling
machining with the complex lathe. This function can reduce the lag of the servo
system and due to acceleration/deceleration that grows as speed is got up.
Therefore, this function can be used to ensure that the tool strictly traces the
specified values, minimizing machining profile errors, and achieving high-speed
and high-precision machining.
HPCC stands for high precision contour control. In AI High Precision Contour
Control mode, acceleration/deceleration is performed more precisely than in the
conventional HPCC mode, resulting in an increase in the cutting speed.
AI Nano High Precision Contour Control can use the Nano interpolation with all
functions of AI High Precision Contour Control.
The output from the NC to the servo is usually done in the unit of the detection
unit. This function allows output to the servo in the unit of one-thousandth of the
detection unit (in case of IS-B), thereby improving machining precision. This is
particularly effective for improving the surface roughness.
Note that the positioning precision depends on the machine conditions, such as
the resolution of the detector.
This function is the most effective when the resolution of the detector is more
detailed than the unit of detection.
Additionally, when the feed-forward function is used even if the resolution of the
detector is the same as the unit of detection at the full closed loop etc., it is
effective.
AI Nano High Precision Contour Control is the same as the AI High Precision
Contour Control excluding being able to use the Nano interpolation.
The following functions can be used in the AI High Precision / AI Nano High
Precision contour control mode.
(1) Function for multiple–block look–ahead acceleration/deceleration before
interpolation. This function eliminates machining errors due to
acceleration/deceleration.
(2) Automatic feedrate control function which enables smooth acceleration/
deceleration by considering changes in the figure and speed and allowable
acceleration for the machine. This is performed by reading multiple blocks in
advance.
(3) Coordinate conversion functions to make programming simple (Scaling*,
Coordinate system rotation*, Programmable mirror image*)
(4) Interpolation functions to process smooth curve.(Smooth interpolation*,
NURBS interpolation* )
(5) Programming by G code system of M series.
(6) Tool center point control for 5-axis machining*.(Only Series 16i system)
Furthermore, smoother acceleration/deceleration is achieved, enabling
the
feed–forward coefficient to be increased. This feature also reduces follow–up
error in the servo system.
Note) * marked are optional function.
