To display the change in the position without moving the tool, use
machine lock.
All–axis machine lock, which stops the movement along all axes. In
addition, auxiliary function lock, which disables M, S, and T commands,
is available for checking a program together with machine lock.

Procedure for Machine Lock and Auxiliary Function Lock
Refer to the appropriate manual provided by the machine tool builder for
machine lock.
CAUTION
The relationship between the work coordinates and
machine coordinates after a machine lock may differ from
that before it. When this happens, set a coordinate system.
Another action is to return to the reference point manually
and set the work coordinate system.
Press the auxiliary function lock switch on the operator’s panel. M, S, and
T codes are disabled and not executed. Refer to the appropriate manual
provided by the machine tool builder for auxiliary function lock.
M, S, and T commands are executed in the machine lock state.
When a G27 or G28 command is issued in the machine lock state, the
command is accepted but the tool does not move to the reference position
and the reference position return LED does not go on.
M00, M01, M02, M30, M98, and M99 commands are executed even in
the auxiliary function lock state.
Also executed are M codes (parameter Nos.
6071 to 6079) that call subprograms and M codes (parameter Nos. 6080 to 6089)
that call custom macros.
