NC format machining programs for a three–path lathe are created and
stored tool posts 1, 2, and 3 separately. Therefore, the machining
programs for the tool posts are completely independent of each other.
Conversational format machining programs are created separately for
each of tool posts 1, 2, and 3 in each machining process, but they are all
managed together as one program.
When a conversational format machining program is selected, only
machining processes with tool posts 1, 2, and 3 included in the program
can be executed.
It is impossible to execute different machining programs for the
individual tool posts.

Programs for three–path complex lathes can be created in the same
manner as for conventional two–path lathes. The machining types that
can be created are the same as for the two–path lathes.
