Measurement motion
Measurement motion is described below.
<1> For measurement in the Y-axis direction, a rapid movement is
made from the current position to the point specified by
("CENTER POINT Y" + ("PROJECTION WIDTH"/2 + α + r))
in the Y-axis direction and by "CENTER POINT Z" in the Z-
axis direction. Similarly, for measurement in the Z-axis direction,
a rapid movement is made from the current position to the point
specified by "CENTER POINT Y" in the Y-axis direction and by
("CENTER POINT Z" + ("PROJECTION WIDTH"/2 + α + r))
in the Z-axis direction.
<2> In the -X-axis direction, a rapid movement is made to the
approach point ("HEIGHT OF MEAS. PT." + "APROCH
DISTANCE").
<3> Then a movement is made in the -X-axis direction to the position
specified by "HEIGHT OF MEAS. PT." at feedrate fb. In the
range from that position to (α + γ), a measurement is made at
feedrate f. (First measurement)
<4> Next, a rapid return movement is made by β, and a measurement
is made at the feedrate specified by "MOVING MEAS. SPEED"
in the range from that position to (β + γ). (Second measurement)
<5> Next, a rapid return movement is made by ε, and a rapid return
movement is made in the +X-axis direction to the approach point
("HEIGHT OF MEAS. PT." + "APROCH DISTANCE").
<6> A rapid movement is then made to the center coordinates. Next,
a movement is made to the approach point on the minus (-) side
at feedrate fa. Then, a similar measurement is also made in the -
Y-axis (-Z-axis) direction.
The symbols used above have the following meanings:
fa: Value of "FEED-RATE FOR APPROACHING START POINT"
in the measurement condition of the group number specified in
"MEASUREMENT COND."
Rapid traverse rate when bit 2 (RPDF) of parameter No. 12380
is set to 1.
fb: Value of "FEED-RATE FOR APPROACHING START POINT"
in the axis direction in the measurement condition of the group
number specified in "MEASUREMENT COND."
f: Value of "FEED-RATE FOR 1ST MEASUREMENT" in the
measurement condition of the group number specified in
"MEASUREMENT COND."
